February is a month of paradox: the cold grows colder, even as the days grow longer. Snow, frost and ice cover the life that is beginning to stir beneath and all around. We return to Habitat, the Massachusetts Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont for mindful observation of these paradoxes and contradictions.
